Student Discounts and the ISIC Card

Make sure to always ask for a student discount when traveling abroad. It may be helpful to purchase the International Student Identity Card (ISIC). ISIC is the only internationally accepted student ID card and proof of current student status in existence. UMSL recommends that all study abroad students purchase this card. ISIC also offers:

For most programs, you will need to secure and purchase your own airfare. There are many discounted airfares available for students, so be sure to shop around. Be sure to review cancellation policies and change options (i.e.; can you change your departure date to return to St. Louis and how much will it cost?).
